Shaquem Griffin, best known as the one-armed linebacker from Central Florida, has been cranking out highlight after highlight throughout this week’s NFL combine. He just ran a 4.38 40 yard dash, breaking the record for a linebacker. If he was a running back, he’d be the second fastest in his class; just incredible.
WOW. WOW. WOW.
4.38u for @ShaquemGriffin!
The fastest 40 time for an LB since 2003.

On Saturday, Griffin banged out 20 reps in the bench press, more than anybody could have imagined. He reps out 225 lbs with the use of a prosthetic like most bros at the gym could only wish.

Griffin’s story is an amazing tale of perseverance and grit. He wrote a great article for The Players’ Tribune where he discusses some of the trials and tribulations that have brought him to this point. I highly recommend giving it a read, you won’t regret it. Going into draft season he was viewed as a third day pick, but after his performance this weekend I have to think that he’ll be gone by the end of the 3rd round. Griffin is truly a feel good story and any team will be lucky to have him. Roll the highlights.
